Strengthening Patient-Centered Healthcare in APAC: Paul Mendoza at IEEPO Cebu

Paul Mendoza, President of Psoriasis Philippines and Vice President of the International Alliance of Patients' Organizations (IAPO), is representing the global alliance at the IEEPO APAC Workshop in Cebu.
His presence reflects our core belief that lived experience must guide health decisions. Paul brings the patient voice directly into discussions where policies take shape. His personal journey grounds our advocacy in real needs and real outcomes.
The International Experience Exchange with Patient Organisations (IEEPO) has served as a platform for collaboration since 2008. Guided by an independent External Advisory Committee, it has brought together more than 1,500 patient leaders from over 100 countries to help shape more sustainable healthcare systems.
This year marks a shift to a regional approach. This allows closer focus on local challenges and opportunities. It supports practical strategies that respond to regional realities. The goal is clear. Empower patients on the ground. Build stronger local and regional partnerships. Push health systems to be truly patient inclusive. Unite patient voices to drive action at a global level.
